Warrensburg High School started a soccer team for girls in the spring of 2000. Over the past thirteen years the program has won nearly 70% of it’s games and consistently been state ranked. Tiger alums have suited up for elite college programs including Nebraska, Missouri State, Central Missouri, North Alabama, Southwest Baptist and Kentucky Wesleyan.
In 2008 the Tigers added a new tradition, the “Pink It Up!” game. The game is a culmination of a year’s worth of planning and fundraising, culminating in a donation to the Johnson County Cancer Foundation.
The Tigers regularly draw difficult assignments in district play. They have been beaten by the eventual state champions (LSW) in district finals twice, and have seen O’Hara and JC Helias end their season and play for the state title on four other occasions.
