“Central’s goalkeeper, Sarah Nichols, is one of the best I’ve seen in 21 years.  She is solid technically, has is a physical presence, and has great hands.  After I saw her last year I passed the word along about how good she was, nobody believed me until they played Central.  She definitely is a college bound goalkeeper if she chooses.”

“Central’s coach (Chris Welch) will always have her kids well organized defensively.  They got behind the ball and made it awfully tough.  And Coach Welch will always find a way to get her forward isolated a couple times and catch you on the counter.  Brockhaus had to make a nice play on the breakaway by the Murphy girl late.”

“Our central midfielders, Kate Nelson and Kate Whitney, did a great job establishing the width of the park.  They used our speed on the wings early.  Those kids will work hard out there and make runs, but you have to use them.  The more balls Hanna Dillingham and Christy Crouse get out there the more comfortable they will get and demand more quality from themselves.”

“We paired Sara Rizzolo with Alyssa Parsells in the central defense as we’ve moved Whitney forward.  They were organized and started the attack well.”

“We worked last week with our ball launcher to get the kids more comfortable in the air.  There was progress tonight, but we have a long way to go.  We need to be dominant to the point where teams are terrified to conceded a throw-in to us.”
